Alltel Update
FINALLY, received a response from the company AFTER emailing everyone I know and blogging about this "experience". Oh, loved their 'subject' line~~sarcastic bast----.

Thank you for choosing Alltel. Simple Freedom is actually a company separate from Alltel. Alltel allows Simple Freedom to use Alltel towers, but Simple Freedom is owned by an independent company.
To activate your Simple Freedom phone, ask questions about your minutes or any inquires about your account, please contact Simple Freedom.
Again, we do apologize for this issue, but we are unable to assist you with this Simple Freedom issue.

If I were Alltel, I'd STOP my association with another company that is RUINING Alltel's reputation. After all, if you lie down with dogs, you gonna get up with fleas.

Alltel Communications RIP OFF
My son 'bought' an alltel communications cell phone at graduation party night. He was unable to register it on their website for the FREE 120 minutes. It is AKA: Alltel Simple Freedom Kyocera KX1 SoHo Prepaid Cell Phone
When he ended up registering it by phone, they knocked his FREE minutes down to 40--less than HALF.
Then when he still had 20 minutes left, the phone gave him the message that he had insufficient time to make the call he was trying to make.
It retails at Wal-Mart for around $50.00
Therefore, we are blogging this so everyone will know and be WARNED that this is a fraudulent business.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to get an address for this company or an 800 phone number. The BBB came up with these.
When we complained to the BBB, they contacted the company who then has FAILED to respond to our complaints.It retails at Wal-Mart for around $50.00
